About Macmillan Cancer Support
Macmillan Cancer Support is a leading UK cancer support charity that helps people living with cancer get the care and guidance they need. From financial and practical help to emotional and medical support, Macmillan works with patients, families and carers to ensure no one has to face cancer alone, offering support at every stage of the cancer journey.
Macmillan Mighty Hikes
Macmillan’s Mighty Hikes are a series of half and full marathon charity walks that take place across the UK throughout the year. Organised by Macmillan Cancer Support, these events bring people together to raise vital funds for those living with cancer. Since launching, Mighty Hikes have raised over £70 million, helping to fund essential cancer support services, care and research.
Scarlett Rzeczycki shared: “I’m taking on the Peak District Mighty Hike, pushing my limits to raise £250 in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, because no one should have to face cancer alone.”
“Today, almost 3.5 million people in the UK are living with cancer, a figure that’s growing steadily. Macmillan’s goal is to be there from diagnosis through every step of the journey.”
