Hales Group are seeking a Materials Manager to manage the supply of raw materials in line with production requirements, lead times and QA processes. Accounting for supply risks and demand volatility whilst optimising OVC’s and keeping control of working capital. Co-ordinating other functions inputs to support the total supply chain process.

To apply for this position please ensure you meet the following criteria;

* Manage own set of materials and packaging for site.
* Manage and clearly communicate use of alternate recipes to manage stocks and deliver best cost solutions.
* Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure plans are executed.
* Provide stock information for the weekly planning meetings to support blocked stock management and residual management.
* Provide information to manufacturing teams to ensure optimum level of RP inclusion
* Own interface with Supplier Assurance to ensure timely collection of rejected raw materials.
* Export & Co-pack order processing (including ordering transport) where required.
* Master Data creation and maintenance in SAP and Departmental code sheets updated.
* Ensure inputs to Production Planning Pack master files are maintained accurately.
* Support pre-start checklist process. Manage raw material supply to cover launch and liaise with other functions as required to ensure projects are delivered on time.
* Review planning scrap factors to keep SAP requirements aligned with actual consumption.
* Maintain OMR master data inputs.
* Attend NPD project meetings as required.
* Assume responsibilities of Planning and Materials Managers during holidays/absence when required.
* Release production orders where required
* Provide Site production plan extract to logistics provider for transport planning.
* Participate in site improvement projects as required.

Suitable candidates will;

* Have Strong Excel skills and high level of IT literacy
* SAP knowledge is desirable
* Good communicator and relationship builder
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Self-motivated and organised

HOURS: Full Time Monday to Friday
LOCATION: Lowestoft
TERM: Current term is 4 months – this may be reviewed and extended depending on business needs.

PAY: Negotiable depending on experience
